TEHRAN — A high-level ministerial summit between Iran and Arab states of the Persian Gulf scheduled to convene in Oman to negotiate arrangements for safe commercial navigation through the Strait of Hormuz has been postponed to a later date.
TEHRAN— Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stepped up diplomatic consultations with regional counterparts on the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, using his meetings and telephone calls on the sidelines of the BRICS Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi to explain Tehran’s position on the strategic waterway and outline the regional approach Iran is pursuing with Oman.
TEHRAN — Iran and other Persian Gulf littoral states are scheduled to convene on Monday, September 14, in Muscat to deliberate on the security architecture of the Strait of Hormuz.
TEHRAN- Iran has sought to temper expectations over a new understanding with Oman on navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, saying the arrangement does not amount to an immediate reopening of the strategic waterway.
