TEHRAN – The volunteers affiliated with the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) have provided a wide range of services, from dispatching medical teams and donating blood to conducting projects in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year that started on March 21.
TEHRAN – Jagan Chapagain, the Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), in a letter to Pirhossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), has lauded the IRCS efforts during the 40-day US-Israeli war against Iran, noting that relief and medical services, search and rescue operations, and dedications of the IRCS volunteers showcase the outstanding capabilities of a strong national society in crisis management.
TEHRAN – As a volunteer with the Iranian Red Crescent Society, I was assigned to a shift in Tehran's District 22 and headed there with another volunteer. When we arrived, our station had not yet been prepared. The district municipality—which had requested Red Crescent support—was expected to help us set up the site.
TEHRAN – The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pirhossein Kolivand, has condemned the recent US attacks on the country’s civilian facilities and infrastructure, urging the international community to conduct prompt, independent, impartial, and effective investigations to hold perpetrators accountable for their war crimes.
