TEHRAN— Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called on BRICS members on Friday to expand the use of national currencies in trade, strengthen financial cooperation, and build more resilient economic ties among member states, warning that economic security can no longer be separated from national and regional security.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is heading to New Delhi for this year's BRICS gathering just over a week after he took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek.
TEHRAN- The Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, referring to the holding of the Second Meeting of Economy Ministers and Central Bank Governors of BRICS member countries, said: "The use of local currencies, the development of payment systems and domestic financial messengers, and increased economic coordination among BRICS members were among the most important topics raised at this meeting."
TEHRAN- A trade delegation from the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture (TCCIMA), led by Feryal Mostofi, Vice President, along with Shahab Javanmardi and Abbas Argon, other members of the chamber's board of directors, has departed for India to participate in the BRICS Business Council meetings and its specialized working groups.
